Logo Designing start – History of Logo Designing

Advent of logo design or designing. There is a lot of vague information regarding the start of the actual logo designing or where the advent of this designing a logo did took place or which was the first ever logo designed. It dates back to several civilizations. We can find or gauge the advent of logo designing in the modern times but there has been several theories regarding how it all started in the ancient civilizations.

Egyptian Era

According to some theories or books the first ever logo design was made in the era of ancient Egyptians. According to archaeologists, upon digging into and excavating into the ruins of Cairo, Luxor & other ancient cities they have found several different things which denotes to the start of logo designing from the era of ancient Egyptian era. Though it is not affirmed at all but we can denote to the fact that they played their part in the start of it.

Greek Mythologies

Greeks have played their part in this as well. Upon the excavation of the town of Alexandria, there were several ancient items that were found which were bearing logo designs denoting to directions of they could be of some sign language which the archaeologists deciphered as the start of logo from the Greek era. From the era of Zeus & Poseidon etc.

Modern logo designing

Almost all of the people associated with the logo design industry are familiar with the name of Paul Rand. Paul Rand is often called as the father of modern graphic logo designing or graphic designing. He was an American logo designer who changed the industry head over heels by his work. The way he incorporated his logos and vectors in the videos that he created are still considered to be the benchmark of this Logo industry.
